The S4EeB project aims at developing and providing a prototype for the optimization of the buildings management system through the acquisition, identification and monitoring of data related to the levels of occupancy.
The project objective is to improve the microclimate management systems in the buildings by eliminating wasted energy consumption for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting (HVACL) while maintaining a high level of comfort for the users.
This objective may be achieved through the integration of a low cost network of audio sensors, for detection and control, and through the improvement of strategies and algorithms for automation and conditioning, that have been distributed, calibrated and validated in two shopping centres and at the Linate airport, in real time.
The goal is to demonstrate the actual energy savings and the benefits deriving from this investment, by providing market solutions and supporting the reduction of climate change.
