Another important factor in reducing CO2 emissions is the use of SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). SEA has signed an agreement with ENI to introduce refuelling with sustainable biofuel from vegetable and waste raw materials also to commercial flights. The first cargo flight operated by DHL fuelled with Eni Biojet SAF  blended at 20% with JetA1 and produced exclusively from waste raw materials, animal fats and exhausted vegetable oils, has already been tested at Malpensa. Malpensa will be the first airport in Italy to supply SAF through the Pipeline.
